SELAH Institute is a small, Christian agricultural school in Deep Run, NC, where students learn through real-world projects, leadership development, and hands-on agricultural experience rather than traditional classroom instruction. We are seeking an Agriculture Educator to serve as the primary instructor and FFA advisor for our upper school cohort of students in grades 8 through 12.
This role is ideal for someone who loves coaching students toward independence, believes deeply in project-based and experiential learning, and wants to be part of building something meaningful in a close-knit, mission-driven community.
What you'll do:
Facilitate project-based learning experiences that connect academic standards to real-world application
Coach students through weekly conferences, goal-setting, and ownership of their own learning
Coordinate field experiences, community partnerships, and work-based learning opportunities
Build strong, ongoing relationships with students and families
Support students' agricultural projects, internships, and leadership development
What we're looking for:
A genuine love for students and a coaching, relational approach to education
Experience in agricultural education, youth development, or project-based instructional models preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
A personal faith in Jesus Christ and alignment with SELAH Institute's Statement of Faith and mission

Learning Coach, Grades 3-7
SELAH Institute is a small, Christian agricultural school in Deep Run, NC, built around hands-on, mastery-based learning. We are seeking a Learning Coach for our lower school cohort, serving a mixed-age group of students in grades 3 through 7 through the Master Books curriculum.
This role is ideal for someone who loves working with younger learners across a range of ages, thrives in a structured but warm classroom environment, and wants the flexibility of a schedule that truly works for their life and family.
What you'll do:
Deliver structured, differentiated instruction across core subjects using the Master Books curriculum
Build a classroom culture rooted in consistency, curiosity, and care for each student
Plan and lead bi-weekly field experiences that bring learning to life
Maintain consistent, warm communication with families
Integrate agricultural themes and hands-on learning throughout daily instruction
What we're looking for:
A nurturing, organized approach to teaching across multiple grade levels
Experience with elementary or middle school instruction, ideally in a small group or mixed-age setting
Familiarity with Master Books or similar structured curricula a plus
A personal faith in Jesus Christ and alignment with SELAH Institute's Statement of Faith and mission
A valid driver's license and clean driving record (required to drive students to field experiences)
Full-time, 10-month position. Salary commensurate with experience.

SELAH Institute is building a pool of substitute teachers to support our classrooms on an as-needed basis. This is not a regular weekly commitment — substitutes are called in only when needed to cover for our full-time educators across grades 3 through 12.
This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with students, wants flexible and occasional work, and is excited to be part of a small, mission-driven school community.
What you'll do:
Step in to lead classroom instruction and supervise students when a full-time educator is unavailable
Follow lesson plans and instructional guidance provided by the regular classroom teacher
Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment for students in grades 3 through 12
Communicate any notable events or concerns to school administration following each substitute day
What we're looking for:
A genuine love for students and comfort working with a range of ages, from grade 3 through grade 12
Flexibility and reliability when called upon for coverage
A personal faith in Jesus Christ and alignment with SELAH Institute's Statement of Faith and mission
Willingness to complete a background check prior to substitute placement
As-needed basis. $100 flat daily rate.
