2026 - 2027 SELAH Institute Application
An Investment That Works With Your Family
At SELAH Institute, we’ve designed tuition to be transparent and practical.
Annual Tuition: $10,000
Tuition covers the full program. There are no additional fees for materials, experiences, or student activities.
*The only exemption to this would be an optional out-of-state experience, such as the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis.
How Families Afford SELAH
NC Opportunity Scholarship
Many of our families qualify for state-funded tuition support through the NC Opportunity Scholarship
Depending on eligibility, families may receive $3,000–$7,000 per year toward tuition.
Student Work-Study Program
SELAH is a work-based learning school, which means students have the opportunity to help fund their education through internships or entrepreneurship.
Here’s what that can look like:
2 days/week (Monday & Friday)
8 hours/day
32-week school year
Total: 512 hours worked
At an average of $10/hour (net), a student can earn approximately $5,120 per year
Our program is intentionally designed so that work-study can cover about half of tuition.
What This Means for Your Family
Example 1:
$10,000 tuition
$3,000 scholarship
$5,000 student earnings
Remaining balance: $2,000
This would be $200/month on a 10-month plan
Example 2:
$10,000 tuition
$5,000 scholarship
$5,000 student earnings
In this example, the family would not be required to cover any additional costs.
Flexible Payment Options

Common Questions
Can we pay tuition ourselves and let our student keep their earnings?
Yes. Every family can choose what works best. Some use work-study toward tuition, while others allow students to keep their income. We’ll help you build a plan that fits your goals.
What happens if my student loses their job?
We provide ongoing support and preparation to help students succeed in the workplace. If a job ends, we will help your student secure another internship or opportunity.
What if my student’s business is seasonal (ex: lawn care)?
We plan for that. Families can pay ahead if needed, and we help students expand their services (pressure washing, leaf removal, etc.) to create more consistent income year-round.
What if my student earns more than their tuition?
Any earnings beyond the agreed-upon contribution are the student’s to keep. Many of our students choose to work additional hours outside of school.
