South Eastern Leadership and Agricultural Honors Institute
SELAH Institute was founded to serve families who want something more individualized than a traditional school- and still value structure, accountability, and strong academics. We believe students learn best when their education connects to real work, real responsibilities, and real community needs.
SELAH is a small, intentionally designed high school where students are known, challenged, and supported. Our program blends rigorous academics with leadership development, hands-on experiences, and practical skills that prepare students for college, careers, and adult life.
SELAH Institute was founded by Margo Harper, a Board Certified educator with experience working closely with students and families seeking a more intentional and purposeful educational path.
Margo founded SELAH out of a desire to create a school that values leadership, strong relationships, and meaningful, real-world learning. At the heart of her work is a commitment to helping young people grow in character, recognize their God-given talents, and use those gifts to serve others well.
Small class sizes: SELAH maintains a 12:1 student-teacher ratio, ensuring every student receives personalized guidance and support.
Project-based learning: Students engage with core subjects through structured, real-world projects.
Leadership development: Opportunities to practice leadership are built into academics, work-based learning, and extracurricular activities.
Hands-on agricultural experience: Students connect classroom learning to applied experiences on the SELAH Learning Farm.
Hybrid weekly schedule: Students spend part of the week on campus in structured classes and part in applied, project-based learning.
