Hi, I'm Margo Harper, the founder of SELAH Institute, an agriculture-based experiential learning microschool in Lenoir County. I’m a National Board Certified Teacher with a Master’s degree in Education and over five years of classroom experience. My journey into education began with a passion for hands-on learning and leadership development, especially in the field of agriculture.
I founded SELAH Institute to reimagine what high school could be: student-driven, project-led, and rooted in real-world, competency-based learning. Our model empowers students to grow beyond the limitations of traditional schools by engaging in meaningful, community-connected work that builds skills, confidence, and a lifelong love for learning.
I’m excited to partner with families to help students thrive, lead, and reach their full potential—both inside and outside the classroom.
