Lenoir County, NC
We are located in Lenoir County, North Carolina.
As of May, we are finalizing a lease agreement for a building 10 minutes south of Kinston. We will announce our location once the paperwork has been processed!
We follow a Monday through Thursday schedule from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. One day each week (typically Friday) is dedicated to Work-Based Learning, where students will have the opportunity to participate in an internship, build their entrepreneurship project, or serve their community.
Our schedule will vary often due to experiential learning activities and field trips, which may require earlier departures or later returns. Any changes to the schedule will be communicated to students and families in advance through a monthly calendar release.
All enrollment plans are based on the local school year calendar and require a one-semester (five-month) commitment. If enrolling mid-year, there is a five-month commitment. After the one-semester or five-month commitment, enrollments may be cancelled with 30 days written notice.
Our school serves students in 9th through 12th grade.
At SELAH Institute, we create a personalized curriculum plan for each student, combining project-based learning with mastery-based assessments. We'll collaborate with your family to ensure the plan aligns with your child’s unique goals and needs.
Their transcript will be similar to that of a traditional public school- four years of English, Math, Social Studies, Science, and Foreign Language as well as additional elective courses.
Not yet, but we are actively working with the NC Department of Education to become an approved vendor. We expect this process to be completed by July 2025! Scholarship amounts range from $3,000 - $7,000.
